Greezy Joe is a former Navy Officer who flew the F/A-18 Hornet throughout his 22 year career.  His songwriting journey began while aboard USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT during a 2001-2002 deployment in direct support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.  He naturally gravitated to escapism songs as a way to entertain his shipmates, often times crafting his lyrics to make fun of senior leadership as well as his peers.  He released his first album in 2003 entitled, "Sail On" with the help of "The Cheap and Easy Band", who he routinely performed with until the band had to disband due to change of duty locations and commitments to the Navy.  Greezy Joe continued performing and songwriting in a limited fashion while he finished out his Navy career.  Currently, he is back in the studio and committed more than ever to reach like-minded people with his tropical lyrical style and Sailor songs...songs about the love of the open ocean, Rum, the code of Pirates, and even heartbreak.
